A nice little bit of tropo DX on 144mhz tonight, surprising distance, worked :
DG7NBE in JO40XI square, 1070km ssb
DK7CM/p in JO40FF, 985km ssb
DL8MAI in JN57FV, 1254km ssb
OK1ES in JO60RN, 1281km on cw
If I strung them all together I'd work 4590km Ha !
It is so annoying when all the tropo just stays to the south of us and doesn't creep up to 54N, but I feel happy to have some new dx contacts in the log :-)
time for a can (hic) !

This is the HB9HB beacon on 144MHz as received on a Funcube Dongle Pro+, with the fsk showing, the morse can be made out on the right hand trace
and here's the inversion which produced the tropo, also seen on other nearby radiosonde stations
(on the right hand temperature trace, the sharp right shift above the number '10' )
